Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA)
Work Without Risking What You Rely On
WIPA is a no-cost, confidential service for individuals receiving SSI or SSDI who are considering work or already employed. Our Certified Work Incentives Counselors provide:
- A full analysis of how employment affects your benefits, including SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare, and SNAP
- A clear explanation of available work incentives like:
- Trial Work Period (TWP)
- Extended Period of Eligibility (EPE)
- Expedited Reinstatement (EXR)
- 1619(b) Medicaid continuation
- Help creating a work and benefits plan tailored to your situation
- Access to the Ticket to Work program and other resources
- Ongoing guidance as your employment and income evolve
- WIPA gives you a roadmap to independence — with protections in place and experts by your side.
